Not sure of your wrist?

Measure it three ways.

PICK ONE · 60 SECONDS

Wrap something around the bone of your wrist where you’d wear a watch, then read the length and pop it in the finder — centimetres or inches, your pick.

01

A strip of paper

Wrap a thin strip around your wrist, mark the overlap with a pen, lay it flat and measure.

· MOST ACCURATE AT HOME
02

A piece of string

String, floss, a phone cable — anything that wraps and stays still. Hold the overlap, lay it against a ruler.

· WORKS IN ANY KITCHEN
03

A tape measure

A soft tailor’s tape is ideal. Wrap snug — not tight — and read where it overlaps.

FAQ

Common questions.

The watch case sits inside the band loop, so it adds to the length that goes around your wrist. Entering your case lets the finder size you up properly rather than guessing.

Think of it as a confident starting point, not a to-the-millimetre promise. A wrist measured at home is only good to a few millimetres, and everyone wears a band a little tighter or looser — so don’t worry about being spot-on. The finder points you to the bands that fit, and each one adjusts so you can dial in the final fit.

Most bands adjust to a range of wrists, so a wide choice is normal — it means you can pick on looks, not worry about fit.

It’s engraved on the back of your Apple Watch, or in the Apple Watch app under General → About.

That’s normal — wrists swell a few millimetres with exercise, heat and salty food, then settle again as you cool down. Measure when you’re rested rather than straight after a workout, and if two sizes feel close, go with how your wrist sits for most of the day.
